Bio
I was born in a rural barrio in the Philippines and raised in the SF Bay Area by my immigrant parents who worked tirelessly to provide a safe and loving home. We moved around frequently making it difficult to establish roots. Growing up with instability was not easy but I developed an eye for art and design because creativity allowed me to stay grounded in the moment and dream big at the same time. Drawing was my first love. As a child, I would sketch the facades of houses and architectural landmarks that I hoped I would visit one day. Then our family purchased a computer and digital art and design became my calling.
I worked long nights and weekends so that I could obtain a BFA from California State University Sacramento in New Media. My time contributing to independent films, theater, museums, and nonprofits was extremely rewarding. Today, I am a Senior Designer at Pottery Barn with 6 years of professional experience doing what I love and helping others beautify their homes with quality products they can trust. I am passionate about crafting innovative solutions, strengthening brand expression, and championing the customer.
My body of work is a testament to my skills, values, and ability to adapt and learn so that I may continue making work that keeps one of my feet on the ground and the other in the clouds. On my downtime, I love to travel, photograph, paint, read, bake, and memorize lyrics from Hamilton.
